Bavarian Zugspitze Railway (Zugspitzbahn)

The Bavarian Zugspitze Railway is a remarkable ride through some of Germany’s most dramatic scenery. Starting in Grainau, this cogwheel train climbs to Germany’s highest peak.

You’ll pass clear lakes and dense forest on the way up. The ride takes around 45 minutes, with views of the Alps throughout.
